The evening of April 26, 1977 Elvis took the stage at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan for the second time in six months, where he was greeted by 7,000 fans. The Kalamazoo Gazette recalled the evening: “Virtually everyone was standing when the Man hit the spotlight in his familiar white gabardine jumpsuit as his excellent orchestra provided that fanfare—still the Strauss motif popularized as the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The crowd had been warmed up by the fine gospel group, J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, the lively trio known as The Sweet Inspirations and an especially funny comedy routine by Jack Kahane, who was considered by some to be funnier this time than he was during the Elvis show last October. But it was Elvis who drew the crowd, and from his first scream shrouded bumps in ‘C.C. Rider’ he appeared to enjoy himself almost as much as the audience enjoyed watching him.” Offered are four contact sheet containing over one hundred (100) images, mostly of Elvis, from the Kalamazoo concert at Wings Stadium on April 26, 1977. The contact sheets contain images from a close vantage of Elvis singing with his guitar, fans holding a large June Kelly picture of Elvis, and pictures of Elvis on stage in his Mexican Sun Dial jumpsuit. Two contact sheets measure 10 by 8 inches (25.4 x 20.32 cm), each with approximately 36 images; one contact sheet measures 7 5/8 by 8 1/4 inches (19.36 x 20.95 cm) with approximately 25 images; and one contact strip measures 9 by 1 1/2 inches ( 22.86 x 3.81 cm) and contains approximately 5 images. The group of contact sheets are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The two larger contact sheets exhibit heavy paper residue on the surface with an area of paper loss and discoloration on the reverse. The smaller contact sheets are in good condition overall with soiling and discoloration on the reverse and the contact strip with a small area of paper loss on the front that does not impact the image of Elvis.
