Elvis’ sixth tour in 1976 begins on August 27 at the Convention Center Arena in San Antonio, Texas. With some new tour members joining this round like Sam Thompson and Dr. Elias Ghanem, plus the return of Larry Geller, Elvis’ performance that evening is lively and spirited. Robert Stewart of the San Antonio Light describes the concert in his article:

You don’t review an Elvis Presley concert. You let it soak in - the music, the applause, the adulation of thousands. Friday night the King held court with such old favorites as You Ain’t Nothing But a Hound Dog, Heartbreak Hotel, Love Me Tender and Don’t Be Cruel, a song he calls his favorite. Elvis hasn’t lost his touch as more than 10,000 persons at the Convention Center will testify. Thousands cheered, hands clapped and toes wiggled in unison as Elvis gyrated. It used to be an act that shocked the world. Today it’s quite tame when compared to other rock groups. What is shocking is to see several generations of fans pay homage to their favorite. Mothers and daughters - in some cases even grandmothers - wept and cheered the blue-suited, rhinestone-bedecked rock ’n’ roll superstar.

The offered collection of thirty-three (33) black and white color negatives (contained within 7 strips) of Elvis in his blue Egyptian Bird jumpsuit performing to an ecstatic crowd that evening showcases a star in prime form. The negatives come with a letter from Posey Wilson dated Sept 9, 2010 that states in part, “Likely, as you talk with folks in the future, the story you read on eBay about the pictures/negatives of Elvis may be doubted. As some folks will do. Well rest assured, the story I told online for the eBay auction was all true. I am a writer, but I did not exaggerate in using my writing skills. My purpose was to inspire interest of course, but to tell the true story. And no, I did not print any for family nor friends. It’s a wonder through. I had printed a couple for myself, now somewhere in storage but for personal use. When I dig thru my stuff, I’ll likely hang them in my home or office, but that’s it. Prints of years ago only. And memories. However, your rights of negative ownership will be strictly respected.” A copy of the eBay listing is also included which describes in detail her experience taking the images that evening down to the specific model camera that she used. Each negative strip measures 1 3/8 by 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 inches (3.49 x 18.41 to 19.05 cm) with one strip measuring only 1 3/8 by 4 7/8 inches (3.49 x 12.38 cm) that contains only three negatives, and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The negative strips are in excellent like-new condition.
