In yet another first, Elvis spends New Year’s Eve in 1975 among a vast number of fans at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. This was the first time that Elvis would celebrate New Year’s with crowds of fans, providing them with a celebratory performance to ring in the new year. Despite very cold weather, sound system issues and Elvis ripping his pants, this New Year’s Eve concert had the largest live audience and was the highest grossing performance by a single artist in a one-night appearance to date, grossing over $800,000. At this New Year’s Eve show, Elvis began the evening wearing the “Rainfall” jumpsuit but was forced to change into the “V-Neck” jumpsuit after he ripped the seat of the first ensemble. Offered are 18 color slides, each of which captures Elvis wearing the Rainfall jumpsuit. The Kodak Ektachrome slides are all marked with a “JAN 76” processing date printed on the reverse of the holder, and they are numbered continuously from 1-18. Also included are examples of the green ticket stub depicting Elvis’ face along the bottom (Aisle A, Sec 105, Row 32, Seat 7 in the lower level) for the 8:30 p.m. performance and the more rare red ticket stub also containing a head shot of Elvis (Aisle A, Sec 126, Row 16, Seat 3 in the lower level - end), each measuring 4 1/2 by 2 inches (11.43 x 5.08 cm). Each slide measures 2 by 2 inches (5.08 x 5.08 cm), and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The green ticket shows moderate to heavy wear; Excellent Condition. The red ticket presents with few if any defects. Near Mint condition. The slides present with no discernible defects; Near Mint condition.
