This framed RCA Victor full size gold-colored LP was “Presented to Mike Shockley to commemorate sales in excess of 500,000 copies of the RCA Records long-playing record album ‘Promised Land’.” Promised Land was released by RCA on January 8, 1975 (Elvis' 40th birthday) and was originally recorded at Stax Recording Studio in Memphis in December of 1973. The title track "Promised Land" was originally recorded by Chuck Berry in 1965 and had been released a single by Elvis in September of 1974. No RIAA certification was ever awarded for this album so this award was most likely an in-house award, and based on the style likely from the later 1970s. The framed display includes a gold-colored plaque  and a small image of the album cover, both mounted below the gold-colored LP and set against a brown background in a gold-colored metal frame. The award measures approximately 20 1/4 by 16 1/4 by 1 inch (51.43 x 41.27 x 2.54 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Excellent condition overall.
