From The Trude Forsher Collection

Girl Happy was the soundtrack album released by RCA in March of 1965 to the film of the same name. Tracks were recorded in June of 1964 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood shortly before filming began for the movie. The soundtrack album reached number eight on the charts and was certified Gold in 1999. Offered are the full-color, uncut printer proof sheets that are on the final paper that would have been used to adhere to the soundtracks that were produced for sale in record stores. The colors are brilliant, and the paper’s high-gloss finish gives the photography a heavy saturated feel so popular in the 1960s. The proof sheets, emanating directly from the Trude Forsher collection, come with a letter on Thomas Parker stationery dated March 18, 1965 that reads, “Dear Trude: The Colonel wanted you to have this special GIRL HAPPY bunny with his compliments. Best, Jim.” The proof sheets, both measuring 15 by 13 1/2 inches (38.1 x 34.29 cm) and the letter, measuring 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches (13.97 x 21.59 cm), are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The sheets have been folded twice and show only minor signs of wear, with some small areas of scuffing. Excellent condition.
