Miss Smith’s Christmas wish certainly came true when she encountered the King himself and had him sign her boarding card, dated December 24, 1957, for Southeast Airlines flight 306. It was just under two years earlier that Elvis took what was believed to be his first flight with Scotty and Bill traveling to New York. His love affair with automobiles and airplanes blossomed early and over the years, evolved to owning two airplanes himself. This handsome keepsake with Elvis Presley’s pencil signature on the bold red, white and blue boarding instructions card is framed together with a copy of a black-and-white photograph of Elvis signing for a young fan. Even the sky wasn’t the limit for Elvis’ meteoric rise to fame. The boarding card measures 6 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches (15.87 x 8.25 cm) with the framed display measuring 11 by 12 1/4 inches (27.94 x 31.11 cm). Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
The boarding card exhibits staple holes near the top, otherwise it is in Excellent condition overall.
