What could be more appropriate than offering a check written by Elvis Presley on the 50th anniversary of the date of the check and on the anniversary of Elvis’ birthday? Back in 1969, Elvis spent his 34th birthday at Graceland and then on the following day, flew to Dallas with two of the guys for a few days of fun. It was likely that guy’s trip that prompted Elvis to write this check for cash in the staggering amount of $1,000 with the notation that the funds were “Personal for Elvis.” He certainly spared no expense on celebrating his birthday, but given his extreme generosity to others, it is well deserved. Later this same month, Elvis would head to American Sound Studios for the first time to record what were arguable some of his greatest hits.

This check, written from Elvis’ personal account at 3764 Highway 51 South in Memphis, is numbered 3481 and has been stamped the very next day as “Processed” on the center front. The reverse also exhibits several faint stamp marks near the center. This celebratory birthday check has been signed “E.A. Presley” in bold blue ink along the signature line. A more perfect trifecta of dates—birthday, 50th anniversary of the check, and the passage of this treasure to a new collector—could not exist! This incredible check measures 3 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches (8.25 x 20.95 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The check presents with minimal wear, other than expected cancellations. Near Mint condition.
