This early Elvis Presley signed Mr. Rhythm souvenir picture album back cover page from the 1956 Mr. Rhythm magazine contains a studio portrait image of Elvis by William Speer and a strong signature to the center left. While the offered page is the back cover only, this harvest gold-colored portrait presents a solid, bold ink signature of “Elvis Presley” with an indecipherable salutation/name atop the autograph. This signature was of paramount importance to the devotee, who hung the signed image to admire, as evidenced by the small pinholes and minor tape residue in the four corners. This early magazine typically would have displayed another studio portrait of Elvis and “IN PERSON! Elvis PRESLEY - COUNTRY MUSIC’S ‘Mr. Rhythm’ Sensational New RCA Victor Singing Star with Blue Moon Boys” on the front cover. This back cover page of the concert program was originally printed in December of 1955 as a souvenir album to be sold at Elvis’ first appearances after his contract was purchased by RCA Records on November 21, 1955 and Elvis’ first single release under the RCA label hit number 1 on the charts. The entire magazine contained eight interior pages that included images of Elvis, the Louvin Brothers, Benny Martin, June Carter, Justin Tubb, and Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters, artists with whom Elvis performed on tour in February of 1956, dating the offered picture album back cover page to that same time period. This is an excellent example of an early-career Elvis signature. The souvenir picture album page measures 9 1/2 by 8 inches (24.13 x 20.32 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The page presents with a pinhole in each corner as well as tape staining at the corners and some mild toning. Excellent to Mint condition.
