A shining star himself, Elvis was a fan of sparkle, and showed this affinity for jewelry by wearing, in both his personal life and on stage, and gifting a voluminous amount in the 1970s. Elvis’ love for accessorizing with jewelry is widely documented in images from the 1970s. Elvis would wear a multitude of rings on his fingers and while we don’t know if he had bells on his toes, we can certainly confirm that he made amazing music wherever he went! Offered is a handsomely masculine 14-karat yellow gold ring, size 12 1/4, that contains 70 1.5-to-2-pt diamonds with a total weight of 1.25 to 1.5 carats. The impressive gold ring weighs 12.4 grams and contains the stamp “585” on the interior band which indicated 14 karat gold or 58.5% gold content. While Elvis was known to give his jewelry to friends, fans and anyone that happened to admire a piece, this dazzling ring was gifted to Elvis’ own father Vernon as is recounted in a letter dated November 10, 1982, from Vernon’s widow, Sandy Miller Silverburg, which states “This 14kt yellow gold diamond ring was worn by Elvis in the early 1970’s. There are almost 2 carats in VVS quality brilliant cut diamonds. Elvis gave the ring to Vernon after a concert. This ring was among Vernon’s personal possessions. Sandy Miller Silverberg/Former Executrix Vernon Presley Estate.” After his divorce from Dee, Vernon dated his young nurse Sandy Miller, who later became his fiancée and the executrix of his estate. For Elvis to gift this ring to his father, he must have considered it special. As a shining star himself, Elvis was a fan of diamonds, and this ring certainly has the dazzle fit for a King. The ring is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The ring presents with minor wear. Near Mint condition.
