Known for his stage jumpsuits, cutting-edge costumes, and trendy fashion sense, Elvis enjoyed being a grand presence on stage and off. Perfectly in keeping with his fashionable style, these shiny burgundy ankle boots with squared toe, interior zip, manmade insole and black heels were made in Italy and owned and worn by Elvis. The boots, marked “Verde” on the interior, were Elvis’ favorite brand. Over the years he owned several pair of Verde boots in a variety of colors. Elvis wore a white pair of Verde boots as he sang “If I Can Dream” in his televised NBC “’68 Comeback Special” and a brown pair in Las Vegas during the summer of 1969. Whenever Elvis discovered a brand or style he preferred, he would tend to acquire multiples, and the offered Verde boots are a prime example. The size 11 Verde brand boots are accompanied by a letter from Richard Davis that reads, “I Richard Davis was friends with Elvis Presley and was a member of the Memphis Mafia. I began working for Elvis around 1962. Among my many duties for Elvis was being body guard and taking care of and purchasing his wardrobe and eventually becoming Elvis’ wardrobe manager. Elvis and I were about the same size and we had similar taste in clothing and he would often give me some of his personal wardrobe. These Verde burgundy patent leather boots were worn and owned by Elvis.” The letter is signed “Richard Davis T.C.B. Always” and dated August 7, 1993. These sharp and snazzy boots, favored by Elvis, are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The boots show signs of heavy use with considerable wear to the leather soles and several scuffs and scratches to the patent leather uppers. Excellent condition.
