Elvis was often captured by the paparazzi anywhere he went and especially when he was in the company of a lady or another famous face. Offered are four images of Elvis taken on two separate occasions, two in 1957 and two in 1960. The two connected photos are marked “Negs to Harry Sloan 10/25/57” on the reverse, indicating they were taken at least before that date, and other evidence suggests they were taken only days before. Elvis met and dated model Sandy Preston and took a well-circulated photo with her at the Congo Room of the Las Vegas Sahara, dated by some sources as 10/22/57. The photo with Preston and Elvis shows Elvis in the exact same suit and tie clip, therefore one can ascertain that the offered photos were taken the same night. The woman with Elvis in the image, previously misidentified to be one Dottie Harmony, has been confirmed to be New York model Sandy Preston. The uncut pairing of images of Sandy and Elvis measures 5 by 2 7/8 inches (12.7 x 7.3 cm). The additional two images show Elvis with Bobby Darin and Elvis with Monique Van Vooren. Bobby Darin opened for George Burns at the Sahara starting July 12, 1960. There was a surprise 65th birthday party thrown for Burns’ wife, Gracie Allen, on Tuesday, July 26, 1960. These photos are from that night. Elvis’ cheek is somewhat swollen from a painful tooth abscess with which he was dealing. The other photo shows Elvis chatting with Monique Van Vooren, a Belgian-American theater actress and dancer at that same event on July 26. The photos both measure 2 1/4 by 2 1/3 inches (5.72 x 6.35 cm) and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

All the photos show minor wear but present with bold contrast. Near Mint condition.
