Elvis’ 1970 Summer Festival was documented in the MGM film Elvis: That’s The Way It Is, chronicling his return to live performances in August of 1970. This striking gold satin banner with big, bold white lettering that states, “Elvis Summer Festival / MGM Studios” was originally attached to several others when displayed at The International Hotel in 1970. This exact type of banner is depicted in the documentary film taped during the Summer Festival that began on August 10, 1970. The banner measures 27 1/2 by 11 inches (69.85 x 27.94 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

While the banner exhibits several areas with paper adhered to the edges of the reverse, most likely from being mounted for display either by a collector or at the hotel, the front presents with all its original bright values. Excellent condition.
