Elvis has just returned to Memphis from Hollywood with his friend Nick Adams in tow at the end of September 1956. On Monday, September 24, Elvis takes Nick to visit his high school and Mildred Scrivener, Elvis’ senior-class homeroom teacher. Elvis had just made his first film and was a well-known celebrity, so he wanted to give back to the school where he had his start. Elvis donated $900 to the school for its ROTC (Officer Training) program. Offered is a contact sheet with a black-and-white, medium format image capturing Elvis and Mildred Scrivener on the day he and Nick visited Humes High. This single image contact sheet of this special moment for Elvis, Ms. Scrivener and Humes High, measures 5 1/8 by 3 1/4 inches (13.01 x 8.25 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The photo print contains staple holes in the upper left edge and exhibits slight wear at the corners and edges, overall excellent condition.
