In 1964, MGM released the swinging hot film Viva Las Vegas starring the heartthrob Elvis Presley and the beauty Ann-Margret in a musical comedy that was a box office success. Regarded as one of Elvis’ best movies, in part for the on (and off) screen chemistry between the co-stars, Viva Las Vegas reached number 14 in the top 20 movies of 1964 and grossed over $9 million. One of the most iconic and memorable scenes from the film is the one in which this perfect duo moves across the recently christened University of Nevada gymnasium stage with wild abandon as Elvis sings “C’mon Everybody.” The two work themselves up, over and around to the point where they finish in a heap on the stage floor. The offered nine (9) black-and-white snapshots capture the magic from the perspective of an audience member in the auditorium. Seven of the images chronicle Elvis singing, swaying and strutting his stuff while in the last two images he is joined by his stunning co-star. The clarity of the images and close proximity to the scene indicates that it is likely that these were taken by a photographer within the film production. All nine photos are mounted to the page of an album. The largest photos measure 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches (5.71 x 5.71 cm) with several trimmed to slightly smaller dimensions. The fun and lively photos are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Though adhered to the album page, the photos present with few other defects, and the images are extremely crisp, well-focused and exhibit strong contrast. Excellent to Mint condition overall.
