Elvis was one of the most photographed celebrities, with everyone wanting to capture him on film, from professional journalists to everyday fans. As his star began its meteoric rise in 1956 when he became a household name, cameras began snapping photos everywhere he went. Offered are four (4) early snapshots, each capturing a young, handsome musician at ease in his newly acquired celebrity status. The first image depicts Elvis and a lovely young woman standing cheek to cheek with faded blue ink notation in the lower left. The second picture is of Elvis standing near his white Cadillac with the handwritten notation on the reverse, ‘Picture we took of Elvis in his white leather jacket, standing beside his white Cadillac convertible, in front of his home.” The third captures a smiling Elvis standing in front of the driver’s door of another vehicle and the last image shows Elvis in the center of a group pf people including Colonel Parker to his left. This collection of original early black-and-white snapshots show the young entertainer at the very start of his long and illustrious career. The photos range in size from 2 3/4 by 2 1/2 inches (6.98 x 6.35 cm) to 3 by 4 inches (7.62 x 10.16 cm) and the grouping is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The smallest image exhibits edge and corner wear with a stain to the margins of the center right side; the image of Elvis in front of the car appears to have had the margins trimmed to the top and right, and aside from minor creasing and edge wear, is in overall excellent condition; the photo of Elvis standing with the young lady exhibits only edge wear and is otherwise in excellent condition; and the largest is in excellent condition overall.
