Elvis performed five times for a multitude of shows at Del Webb’s Sahara Tahoe Hotel and Casino from 1971 through 1976. The shows were beloved by fans and Elvis alike for their more intimate atmosphere. Despite the smaller-than-Las-Vegas venue, the Colonel was never shy about plastering promotional material everywhere and the Sahara Tahoe was certainly no exception. Offered is a collection of this marketing prowess that includes:

  • A record-shaped menu, measuring 9 3/4 by 9 1/2 inches (24.76 x 24.13 cm);
  • A record-shaped wine menu, measuring 8 by 7 3/4 inches (20.32 x 19.68 cm);
  • A pink, yellow and blue table tent, measuring 6 by 4 3/4 inches (15.24 x 12.06 cm);
  • A postcard promoting Elvis' May 4-20, 1973, Sahara Tahoe concerts, measuring 4 by 3 1/2 inches (10.16 x 8.89 cm); and
  • An ink pen that doubles as a letter opener, measuring 7 1/2 inches (19.05 cm) in length.

Dell Webb’s Sahara Tahoe Resort, where Elvis performed five engagements, had a strict “no photography” policy making his appearances there a hidden treasure for those lucky enough to attend. This grouping of promotional materials from his performances provides a glimpse into the ambiance and energy surrounding these intimate engagements compared with the larger Las Vegas shows. With delectable entrees like Broiled Australian Lobster Tails and Roast Prime of Beef paired with a white Liebfraumilch Blue Nun from Rhine, Germany or a red Beaujolais Village from Burgundy, France, the comestibles were almost as enchanting as the entertainment. With Elvis’ handsome face appearing on the back of these record-shaped menus, what more could a fan want, but perhaps a pen with which to hope to obtain an autograph. This fascinating collection of four artifacts from the Sahara Tahoe May 4-20, 1973 appearance is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The table tent is in mint condition, the wine menu is in excellent condition, the food menu is in excellent condition with minor surface scuffs and the pen is in very good, used condition. Overall the collection is in excellent condition.
