On March 23, 1977 Elvis begins his tour and his wardrobe is limited to two jumpsuits which still fit comfortably: the Mexican Sundial and the Arabian/King of Spades. Elvis plays Arizona the first night and Texas the second, then moves to Oklahoma before returning to Texas for another two shows on the 27th and 28th. He follows with concerts in Alexandria, Louisiana on the 29th and 30th, and during the show on the 30th accidently changes some of the lyrics in “Can’t Help Falling in Love” to “Wise men know/When it’s time to go...” Perhaps this was a subconscious suspicion, since he would cancel the remaining sold-out shows of that tour. He returns to Memphis and checks into the hospital on April 1. Offered are twelve (12) original slides of Elvis on stage wearing the jumpsuit known as the “1974 Arabian” or “King of Spades.” Based on the combination of Elvis Presley’s jumpsuit and the band’s dark suits, these shots are most likely from his March 24, 1977 concert at the Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas. Several of these images have been identified as the concert on the 24th, though this jumpsuit/band suit combination was used several times in early 1977, including on March 30 when he performed at Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana. The slides are in “Fox Photo” plastic slide holders and are hand numbered from 18 to 28. Each slide measures 2 by 2 inches (5.08 x 5.08 cm) and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The slides present with few defects. Near Mint condition.
