From the Estate of Scotty Moore

Scotty Moore is known for being the pioneer of rockabilly guitar and is famous for his time with Elvis. Scotty’s first guitar was a Gibson ES-295, and he remained loyal to Gibson his entire life and career. He was once quoted as saying, “The streamlined Fender just didn’t feel right when I played it. It probably had something to do with its shape. The Gibson was more feminine. I could make out with the Gibson. I couldn’t get it on with a Fender.” This love affair made Scotty synonymous with the Gibson brand. In 1999 Gibson created the Scotty Moore model based on the original ES-295 that Scotty was known for playing. The first of only about a dozen produced was presented to Scotty by Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz at a party in North London’s Air Studios in July of 1999, along with the offered award. It is shaped like the head stock and frets of a Gibson atop a wooded base with a gold-toned plaque reading, “Presented to SCOTTY MOORE for your loyalty to Gibson Guitars and inspiring guitarists worldwide / From your friends at The Gibson Guitar Company / July 13, 1999.” The trophy, emanating directly from the Estate of Scotty Moore, measures 15 3/16 by 4 9/16 by 4 9/16 inches (38.57 x 11.58 x 11.58 cm), and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The trophy presents with few defects. Near Mint condition.
