Colonel Parker was the king of promotion for his number one client, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and never missed an opportunity to promote the Elvis brand. Colonel Parker was not without a plethora of brilliant marketing ideas to sell albums and promote his star. In 1971, Colonel tried a new gimmick for the release of Elvis The Other Sides - Worldwide Gold Award Hits Vol. 2 by including a swatch of Elvis’ clothing as a bonus in the box set with the albums as well as a full-length poster of the King. Never one to miss a cross-branding opportunity, the Colonel also created black-and-white posters to advertise the sale of this special boxed set and included mention of Elvis’ Summer Festival at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel “Now through Labor Day / Monday, Sept. 6.” This prime example of the special, limited-time advertising poster measures 22 1/2 by 17 1/2 inches (57.15 x 44.45 cm), is stored flat and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster presents with only minor distress at the original fold intersection, though the poster has been stored flat for some time. Excellent to Mint condition.
