Elvis is synonymous with Las Vegas, and the “City of Lights” owes its meteoric evolution in part to Elvis, who bridged the gap between post-war, formal Vegas and the celebrated hot spot it became and remains today. Elvis restarted his concert career performing routinely at the Hilton in Vegas, and it was during this period in 1972 that he met Israeli-born doctor Elias Ghanem, who initially treated him for throat maladies. The two became friends, with Elvis staying at Dr. Ghanem’s home in the Las Vegas County Club for days at a time. As he did for many close friends, Elvis gave Dr. Ghanem a plethora of gifts over the years, including a Stutz Bearcat, watches and rings. Elvis was the first of many celebrity patients Dr. Ghanem would treat, earning Ghanem the nickname “physician to the stars.” One such star patient was Liberace, who introduced Dr. Ghanem to his future wife Jody. This beautiful 14-karat gold nugget-style ring with oval center lavender jade stone was one such gift from Elvis. The ring is offered with a letter from Jody Ghanem that states in part, “This lavender stone ring is one of the items that Elvis gave to Elias during the mid to late 70’s. This ring was left to me by my husband Dr. Elias Ghanem after his untimely passing on August 27, 2001 at the age of 62.” The ring also comes with an inventory file copy numbered 4/57 listing the ring and an appraisal of the ring by John Fish Jewelers in Las Vegas provided to Jody in 2016. The gentleman’s ring, marked “14K,” has a center oval lavender jade stone measuring 14.8 by 9.8 mm surrounded by 22 diamonds each measuring 0.25 carat and measuring 1.8 mm and 3 additional diamonds set within the gold nugget-style mounting that measure 4 mm (1) and 3 mm (2) and weigh 0.25 and 0.12 carat respectively. The stunning ring, size 10, weighs 44.9 grams and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The ring shows signs of being worn but exhibits no major distresses. Near Mint condition.
