In the 1969 film Charro, Elvis stars as Jess Wade, a former outlaw dragged into a somewhat intricate plot. Co-stars Ina Balin, Victor French and Solomon Sturges come along for the ride in Elvis’ only film for National General Pictures. The offered three-sheet is dominated by the main image of the bearded Elvis and proclaims “ON HIS NECK HE WORE THE BRAND OF A KILLER. ON HIS HIP HE WORE VENGEANCE” in an effort to pitch this as a more serious role for our hero. A different kind of role was an accurate description for Elvis’ part in this western. While still a box-office success, Charro, Elvis Presley’s only film where he did not sing on screen, was not hugely popular with his fans, however the poster did its job of presenting Elvis as a serious western hero. The poster, which is stored folded, measures approximately 81 by 41 inches (205.74 by 104.14 cm) when assembled and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster has areas of toning on the edges of some pieces, but is otherwise very clean with bright colors. EX-MT condition.
