Distributed by United Artists in March 1966, Frankie and Johnny stars Elvis as Johnny, the habitual gambling-and-in-debt riverboat performer whose bad luck catches him in a romantic tangle that almost costs him his life while his good luck saves him in the end. The film is set on a Mississippi riverboat, and although the film grossed over $2.5 million at the box office, the budget was $4.5 million. While the US artwork for the film prominently features Elvis and the riverboat, the British quad focuses more on the gambling of Elvis’ character with four hearts-suit playing cards along the top that tout, “Elvis and fun! Elvis and fightin’! Elvis and fireworks!” This British quad poster measures 30 by 40 inches (76.2 x 101.6 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster exhibits several small areas of staining bleeding through from the reverse, mild age toning, and the main horizontal fold has been reinforced with archival tape on the reverse of the poster. Excellent condition overall.
