June Kelly was an artist who painted a striking portrait of Elvis that was used to create prints/posters to sell at Elvis concerts. The original signed contract for the deal with Kelly is on Rinaldi Printing Company letterhead and reads “For the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00), receipt of which is hereby acknowledged I, June Kelly, the artist, sell and convey title to the Rinaldi Printing Company, Inc. of my 20” x 24” pastel portrait of Elvis Presley, along with all rights to publish and distribute copies of this portrait throughout the world. Signed this 14th day of February 1966.” Kelly has signed above her printed name, and two witnesses have signed at the bottom left. The file copy of the poster, also included with the contract, measures 20 by 16 inches (50.8 by 40.64 cm). The contract, measuring 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm), and the original file copy poster emanate from the 1999 Graceland Archives Auction (lot B188) and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
The contract is in excellent, like new condition with three-punch holes down the left side and horizontal fold lines. The poster is in like new condition.
