Tickle Me, a musical comedy starring Elvis as a rodeo bull-rider, was Elvis’ only film with Allied Artists. The film was a fan favorite, achieving over $5 million at the box office and thereby saving the production company from bankruptcy, while also helping Elvis to relieve himself of an IRS debt. The movie was shot in its entirety in just over 20 days and the soundtrack was composed of previously recorded, yet unpublished songs. Elvis won the 1966 Golden Laurel Award for Best Male Actor in a Musical for his role in the film. In the movie, Elvis plays Lonnie Beale, a bull-riding rodeo star who entangles himself with a love interest and a hunt for hidden treasure. This poster for the film depicts Elvis, dressed in cowboy garb, roped and held by a co-star Jocelyn Lane while describing the movie as “Rock and Rollicking storm that hits a rich and juicy Beauty Ranch” with full-color, drawn images that depict all of these antics. The poster measures 41 by 27 inches (104.14 x 68.58 cm), is stored rolled and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster exhibits moderate toning and edge wear, several pin holes and a few small tears near pin holes, as well as very small separations at the intersection of the original factory folds. Excellent condition overall.
