Presented is a typewritten letter on MGM letterhead signed by Tom Diskin to Trude Forsher (Colonel Parker’s West Coast secretary) dated September 17, 1962. Interestingly, the letter mentions “the most hectic weeks we have ever experienced doing location work on the M-G-M picture, ‘Take Me to the Fair’...” This is, of course, the working title for It Happened at the World’s Fair, set at the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962. The letter is a response from Diskin on behalf of the Colonel, perhaps denying some sort of request to get someone a job, as Tom states that “everything is pretty well provided for in our working operations.” Also included are carbon copies of Trude Forsher’s responses to this letter from Tom Diskin, one addressed to Tom and the other addressed to Colonel Parker, both dated September 23, 1962. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from James Forsher (Trude’s son). Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. Letter measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm).
The 11 by 8 1/2 inch (27.94 x 21.59 cm) letter shows only minor, if any, age toning. Near Mint condition.
