After his Army service Elvis quickly began recording again for RCA, and in 1960 a single was released with “Stuck on You” on the A side and “Fame and Fortune” on the B side. “Stuck on You” was recorded in March 1960 and was the first hit single for Elvis after his military service, reaching number 1 on the Billboard charts just weeks after its release, testifying to the desire for tunes from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll after a stretch without. It was Elvis’ first hit single of the year and his 13th overall. “Fame and Fortune” was recorded in March 1960 at RCA Nashville Studio B and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard charts. Offered is a bold poster touting the arrival of this hit single as “His First Record Since He Came Home.” No doubt fans were eager for Elvis and this poster answers that call. There are several stampings on the upper right area that read “Coming Soon ELVIS in ‘G.I. Blues’ A Hall Wallis Production.” On the reverse of the poster there are two stampings that read “E. P. Continentals Chapter Jan and Pam Drew – Co. Pres. 2815 S Kostner Avenue Chicago 23, Illinois” with “Please return to:” written above each stamping. This rare, early poster was welcome at the time and is as coveted today. The bright yellow, red and black poster measures 14 x 28 inches (35.56 by 71.12 cm), is stored folded and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster exhibits two small pieces of Scotch tape and several small pin holes at the corners. There are no separations at the original mailing folds. Otherwise the poster is quite bright. Excellent to Mint condition.
