Colonel Parker was always looking for ways in which to capitalize on his star, so together with Hank Saperstein he created a booming merchandising line under the E.P.E. name in 1956, targeting a teenage audience. This was one of the first merchandising efforts specifically geared for the teenage audience and the idea paid off, since fans were clamoring for this rising star. One of the many items designed for distribution to this target audience was the “Elvis Presley Hat” with color images and song title graphics. The hat was promoted with the offered original advertising poster with large red and black letters that shout, “Gals! Guys! Here it is! Elvis Presley Hat $1.25” with an image of Elvis wearing this style hat. The lower right contains the trademark information, “Manufactured Exclusively by Magnet Hat & Cap Corp / 1956 Elvis Presley Enterprises All Rights Reserved.” The poster measures 9 by 17 inches (22.86 x 43.18 cm) is stored folded and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster exhibits only minor distresses in the way of two vertical folds. Excellent condition.
