To capitalize on Elvis’ meteoric rise to fame in popular culture in 1956, Elvis Presley Enterprises merchandise was created to sell a wide range of Elvis-themed items as diverse as clothing, fashion accessories, dishes, jewelry, footwear, electronics, magazines, toys and games. The plethora of products bearing Elvis’ name, image or both was staggering and this advertising poster for the Elvis Presley autographed scarf is a prime example of those efforts. This early merchandising scarf was the precursor to the concert scarves with printed signature that became all the rage later in Elvis’ career. This bright, bold pink and white poster measures 11 by 17 inches (27.94 x 43.18cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster has two fold lines with mild toning and wear along both. There is no paper loss, however, and the poster’s colors remain bright. Excellent condition.
